Getting help
Email support@iaminline.com and a person will read it. Include the name of the sale and roughly when it happened — that is usually enough for us to find what went wrong. If it is about your account, send it from the address the account uses.
How holding a place works
You join a sale's line from the app and get a position. Sales can designate an area you need to stay inside to keep that position, the same way standing in a physical line works. If you leave, you get a countdown to return — longer the further back in line you are — and if it runs out your spot goes to the next person. Not every sale uses an area requirement.
I lost my spot
The usual cause is leaving the sale's area, or your phone not reporting its location for long enough that we could not tell you were still there. Granting location access "Always" lets the app keep your spot while it is closed or your phone is locked; with "While Using" it only counts while the app is open on screen. If you lost a spot and think that is wrong, email us with the sale name and we will look at what the server recorded.
Location and battery
The app only reports your location while you are actually holding a spot, and stops the moment that ends. If you see the location indicator at other times, something is wrong — tell us. You can change or revoke location access at any time in your phone's Settings, under iaminline. The app still works with "While Using"; you just have to keep it open while you wait.
Notifications
Each category can be turned on or off independently, for push and for email, in the app's notification settings. Marketing email is off unless you opt in. If you are getting something you did not ask for, that is a bug worth reporting.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, from within the app under Account settings. It removes your account and the data attached to it. If you cannot reach the app for some reason, email support@iaminline.com from the address on the account and we will handle it.
Hosting a sale
Applying to host asks for a photograph of yourself and of a government-issued ID, so we can confirm who is running a sale. Applications are reviewed by a person and you will hear back by email. The photographs are only used for that check and are never shown to attendees.
Privacy questions
For anything about your data specifically — what we hold, corrections, deletion — write to privacy@iaminline.com. The privacy policy covers what the app collects and why.
